Oh and PS congratulations on the pants. I think thats great!! I hope to feel that feeling again soon.

It's great that you take measurements too. I think that prevents a lot of negative feelings because you know you lost more than 2 pounds of fat this month even if it was only 2 pounds on the scale.

I completely understand and I'm very glad you still have those people in your life. I think MOST of us want to lose weight for health reasons overall... it's mostly the pressure of our society that makes us desire those 'fringe benefits" as you called them, such as fitting into smaller clothes and looking better. Those people you mention, other judgemental bloggers, are probably the type that make us HAVE any vanity in the first place!!! LOL

That is awesome!

I totally agree health comes first, as the reason to eat healthy and exercise.

i am so glad that you wrote this post. The need to be one with our own bodies is one thing - but that realization that our bodies are only too mortal and that anything we can do to help them heal and deal with pain is worth every single second we have to go without, is another.

Bravo!

*big hugs* I can understand. I watched both my parents slowly die as their bodies failed them. My mother was 62 and my father was 65. Both too young for such a thing. Bad diet and being over weight caused them both diabetes and heart disease.
